Facing the squalid conditions of the Basroch camp and the refusal of the french government to finance better accommodations MSF (Doctors Without Borders) constructed in 6 weeks a new camp in La Linière, 3 Km away.

Until late the day before the relocation of the refugees people were working hard to complete the facility

On March 7th 2016, Doctors Without Borders and the municipality of Grande-Synthe started moving the 1300 inhabitants of Basrroch camp to the new camp La Liniere,

Even the Justin Bieber poster hanging for months outside a tent was taken along to the Liniere refugees camp in Grande-Synthe

Damien Carême, Mayor of Grande-Synthe, gave an interview to a British TV station during the move of the Basroch refugees camp to Liniere

At the entrance of La Linière, refugees searched for their belongings among dozens of similar looking blue-yellow bags. That's where I met D., an Iraki Kurd and became friends. Eventually he reached UK.
